WWE taped this week’s WWE Smackdown tonight from the American Bank Center in Corpus Christi, Texas. Below are full results:
WWE Smackdown (Airing on SyFy):
* Randy Orton kicks off the show with an in-ring promo. He is quickly interrupted by Damien Sandow, and Orton vs. Sandow is announced for tonight.
* Randy Orton b. Damien Sandow. Cody Rhodes was at ringside for the match, and eventually ran off with Sandow’s briefcase, providing a distraction that allowed Orton to get the win.
* CM Punk comes to the ring for a promo about his match with Brock Lesnar at SummerSlam. He is interrupted by Fandango and Summer Rae, and Fandango ends up eating a GTS.
* Mark Henry & The Usos b. Wade Barrett & The Prime Time Players
* Backstage, Alberto Del Rio tells Vickie Guerrero that he should get to pick his opponent for SummerSlam like John Cena did. Rob Van Dam interrupts and says he deserves a title shot, but Del Rio says Van Dam has to deserve it tonight.
* Damien Sandow searches for his briefcase and runs into Sin Cara, who provides no information.
* Alberto Del Rio b. Rob Van Dam
* Damien Sandow continues his search and runs into Mark Henry & Booker T.
* AJ Lee & Big E Langston come out to the ring to call out Dolph Ziggler. Kaitlyn comes out and hits AJ with a spear, and Ziggler attacks Langston.
* Luke Harper & Erick Rowan b. Tons Of Funk. After the match, Bray Wyatt cuts a promo directed at Kane.
