Goldberg Continues To Tease Match with Ryback

Since his debut, Ryback has been haunted with Goldberg chants by fans, as his dominant winning streak that introduced him to WWE’s audience drew immidiate comparison to the former WCW standout. As those chants have grown and the comparisons have continued, a possible match between the two has been heavily rumored, rumors which haven’t been slowed down by either Goldberg nor Ryback.

Both men have routinely mentioned a possible bout via twitter or in interviews, the latest of which is Goldbergs following tweet back to a fans picture.

Could the match happen? Well, anything is possibly, but with Ryback’s continued decrease in usage and prominence in WWE, it’s becoming less and less likely. Plenty of backstage rumors have said that company officials have lost faith in the big man, and that he will continue to fall down the totem pole unless he manages to make major improvements.
Plus, there’s the issue of there simply not being enough time on the show, as the card is slowly taking form, most likely without a possible Goldberg vs Ryback bout. With possible great matches such as Undertaker vs John Cena and Daniel Bryan vs Triple H, a match featuring Goldberg and Ryback would certainly seem lackluster.

I could certainly live without this match, but it seems as if it’s only a matter of time before we get it.
