WWE had recent live events at Phoenix and Las Vegas which revealed
possible updates towards a couple of wrestlers whom are possibly dealing
with injuries. The two wrestlers I’m referring to are Rey Mysterio and
Cody Rhodes. Now would the worst possible time to suffer injuries due to
WrestleMania being around the corner. To not be involved with
WrestleMania due to injuries would mean missing out on a huge payday. It
is that reason as to why some work hurt, or wait until after the
WrestleMania season to rehabilitate the injuries that have nagged at
them.
Rey Mysterio suffered an injury at last Tuesday’s Smackdown tapings. At the time it was unknown the severity of the injury but it was duly noted that Mysterio was in excruciating pain. This past weekend live events provide us a glimpse of how badly injured he was due to being absent.
He was scheduled to team up with Sheamus and Christian to face off against The Shield which was to take place in Phoenix and Las Vegas. He was replaced by Daniel Bryan who was originally scheduled to face off against Bray Wyatt. Dolph Ziggler was Bryan’s replacement to take on Wyatt.
Rey Mysterio missing live events is not a good sign due to his history of injuries. There could be a chance that he may miss WrestleMania. The last WrestleMania he participated in was WrestleMania XXVII where he faced off against Cody Rhodes.
Speaking of Cody Rhodes he was also absent from the recent live shows. He was scheduled to be in a Fatal Four Way Tag Team match with his brother. This was both mysterious and unsettling due to the fact that they were advertised for the match, but did not appear. It was rumored that he been working on an injured knee, and that could be the explanation to why he missed out on the live events.
This would be unfortunate due to fans either wanting to see the Rhodes Brother be in a match at WrestleMania or to face off against each other. Cody Rhodes dispelled the rumor via his personal twitter account a week ago. Here’s the tweet itself:
The possibility does exist that it could be a coincidence, and that he missed the live events due to other reasons not involving injury. Yet, he could also have had the weekend off to nurse his knee to a healthier state. He denies being hurt, but even admits he would not say if he was truly hurt anyway.

“@lofffft: @CodyRhodesWWE Hows the knee? #RhodesToTheFuture” not injured(though I wouldn't say if I was)...but really, not injured
