Reports today indicate that Rob Van Dam is officially scheduled to return to the WWE
on the post WrestleMania episode of Monday Night Raw on April 7th.
There was much speculation that RVD would return before the huge event,
but plans are pretty much already set in stone at this point, and there
was no room to fit RVD anywhere on there card.
Rob Van Dam has not been seen on WWE broadcasts since the Battleground Pay-per-view that was held in October, where he lost to Alberto Del Rio in a Hardcore match for the World Heavyweight Title. Van Dam is considered a part time talent, whom is called upon when they feel they need a surprise, or a boost. These days, he is not likely to agree to the rigorous travel schedule the WWE requires of a full time superstar.
He is expected to be a part of story lines going forward for the next few months once he makes his return, there is no word yet on where the controversial wrestler will fit into things as of now.
