The Wrestling Observer Newsletter reported that in the Undertaker and
Brock Lesnar match at WrestleMania 30 that the referee did not even
know that the “Streak” was going to end that night.
It has been confirm that Referee Chad Patton was actually informed ahead of the match that The Undertaker would be winning. Although the rule given to all WWE referees is that if a wrestler does not kick out, you go ahead and finish with the three count as if it was exactly planned that way.
It was also reported that Lesnar privately whispered “thank you” to The Undertaker immediately following the three count to express his gratitude for the honor of breaking the streak. This end result of the Undertaker’s Streak finally being broke was a hard hitting shock to WWE fans.
At first thought, maybe even the Undertaker himself was shocked or upset about the loss. Sadly for fans that’s not the case though, The Streak ending was planned and only The Undertaker and Vince, and Triple H knew of that decision.
Later in the back after the match the Undertaker was rushed to a local hospital. Lesnar and Heyman went with Vince McMahon to the hospital with ‘Taker. We’re told Vince was inside the ambulance while Lesnar and Heyman jumped in a vehicle and followed them to the hospital.
