Call them teases or dreams - doesn't matter. We've missed Finn Bálor's playing with our emotions on the internet with teases about reunions with his old New Japan mates.
First, our latest round of
Twitter medical diagnosis. Towards the end of his bout with Samoa Joe at
last night's NXT Lowell event, Finn hit Joe with a drop double stomp on
the floor, and played up re-injuring his left ankle after the move.
There were handheld videos of
official checking on him, and Bálor was SELLING. But he also finished
the match and stood on his own for a bow to the crowd afterwards.
Reports followed that he left the arena in an ambulance, which the above
video disproves.
Some fans around the camera person
comment that the former champ is limping while getting on the bus, but
it seems hard to tell for me, since he's just shuffling along in a line
of wrestlers.
Anyway, the money moment is when Bálor re-emerges from the bus, tells the crowd to stop chanting and says, with a Frog Bálor puppet on his hand and a cheeky grin on his face, "see youse all on Monday!"
Put this with Kevin Owens message to his friend, and it's hard to not get too excited for Raw. But, of course, we have two more nights of NXT house shows to go before we get to Monday - and we all know anything can happen on those.
