WWE has released Kassius Ohno from his developmental contract. Ohno, who is best known as Chris Hero for his work on the US indies, was considered to be one of the company’s brightest prospects.
One issue that we heard with Ohno was the trainers felt he needed to spend more time in the weight room. The comment didn’t sit well with him and we were told at the time he took great offense to it. Ohno was pulled from NXT television over the summer but returned in September.
Ohno is already accepting independent bookings as Chris Hero, as he was informed of his WWE release on Friday.
