More On The Future Of WWE PPVs On Dish Network

For those that missed it, Dish Network isn’t carrying WWE Elimination Chamber on Sunday. They claimed in a statement to Zap2it they’ll continue to consider the value of WWE pay-per-views on an event by event basis.
They posted the following on their Facebook page:
“DISH will not offer the ‘WWE Elimination Chamber’ PPV on 2/23. WWE is not willing to adjust their PPV costs to satellite and cable companies, which is unfair to their customers. We need to re-focus our efforts to support partners that better serve DISH customers. Other satellite and cable companies, including DIRECTV, have also expressed they may no longer provide WWE PPV events in the future.”
This is a case where the satellite provider is pouting over the forthcoming WWE Network. Elimination Chamber isn’t being offered anywhere else any cheaper. It’s a move that’s become far too common from a cable/satellite company and the people that are getting the shaft are their customers.
