Before CM Punk left and took his ball home, there was a storyline that was occurring in the very early stages that would lead to Punk facing off against Triple H at WrestleMania 30. CM Punk left the WWE a half hour before the star of Raw and his departure turned the WWE Universe upside down. His match-up against Triple H morphed into the Triple H vs. Daniel Bryan match-up that we’re all excited to see happen.
Triple H is publically taking CM Punk’s departure in stride and seemingly has no hurt feelings over the matter. That’s just a façade because in privately he’s offended that CM Punk did not want to work WrestleMania with him. Triple H thinks highly enough of himself to believe that a match against him is a big deal. WWE Officials seemingly agree with that view point, as well.
Triple H may be hurt, offended and perhaps taking this slight personally but he’s not the only one whose tune towards CM Punk has been negative. The overall attitude within the WWE towards CM Punk has evolved drastically. We all recall everyone seemingly having faith that Vince McMahon would work his magic and everything would be fine. Obviously the magic failed, and CM Punk is still in Chicago away from any WWE ring.
Most in the WWE now have a very negative response when asked about their opinion of CM Punk’s departure. Many feel that the WWE made CM Punk a large amount of money then he just left. All those high-profile matches, longest reigning WWE champion in the modern era, and a platform to grow into a global superstar which is something many WWE Superstars would want.
Maybe some WWE Superstars feel they would not have left the WWE after making the money that he had made. WWE official may feel that CM Punk owe it to them to return and leave when his contract is up. Triple H certainly feels that CM Punk crossed a line and offended both him, and the WWE with his departure.
CM Punk departure and overall hurt feelings of many leads me to believe that CM Punk will not return to the WWE. CM Punk wanted to leave, and now the WWE doesn’t really want them back with the exception of McMahon since would have buried the hatchet if there were money to be made.
